As part of the continued expansion of its banking, business and sales platforms, UBS recently recruited eight new hires to improve its overall wealth management business, the company said this week.
UBS management said the new hires would boost the company’s momentum in public finances and add leverage to its franchise.
Latest to join the team is Adam J. Glick, as Head of Taxable Municipal Transactions, effective July 26, reporting to Doug Vissicchio, Head of Municipal Principal Transactions, Global Wealth Management.
Most recently at BofA Securities, Glick will help develop the taxable municipal trading platform, including international distribution, utilizing over ten years of institutional sales and retail marketing experience and his specialization in taxable municipalities. .
Glick also brings long-standing relationships with institutional clients to his new role.
Earlier this month, public finance veteran Michele Vobach (pictured) joined the company’s Dallas office, as managing director and co-head of healthcare, effective July 19, reporting to Peter Hill, Head of Public Finances, Global Wealth Management.
A 28-year public finance veteran, Vobach is responsible for expanding healthcare coverage with Lisa Rogers, Managing Director and Co-Head of Healthcare. Most recently at BofA, Vobach has covered a wide variety of national healthcare and higher education issuers.
Additionally, John Germain joined the firm as Executive Director of Housing, reporting to Tim Sullivan, Housing Manager and Co-Head of the Eastern Region.
Germain will focus on expanding multi-family and single-family housing, student housing and renewable energy projects.
He arrived at UBS from Corvias, a public-private partner of state and local governments, the military and higher education, where he recently secured structured debt and equity finance for project development. solar power, drinking water, student housing and military housing.
Orlando Cherenek, Jr. (pictured), a portfolio manager, trader and institutional sellers on both the buy and sell side of the market, joined the company on July 15 as an executive director and institutional seller. He brings his sales experience to the firm, reporting to Ross Mullman and Greg Neuner, co-heads of municipal institutional sales.
Most recently at Citi, Cherenek has focused on municipal sales, particularly taxable municipalities within the Institutional Sales team.
Four additional hires include Tayo Edun and Robert Suh for the West region team, Anthony Kinsey for the Midwest team and Marc-Adrien Mandich for the quantitative team.
Head of the West region team, Edun was until recently at E&Y Infrastructure Advisors, covering PPP infrastructure projects.
Suh is the Western Region Team Director, originating from Wells Fargo, where he covered California and California cities, counties and school districts, and was previously a Wealth Management Specialist.
Kinsey is a Director of the Midwest team, coming from Huntington Bank Public Finance, covering the transportation industry, and bringing previous public finance experience from Loop Capital and BMO Harris.
Associate Director, Mandich joins the quantitative team of the UBS Model Risk Governance and Management team.
