Review of ICICI Bank’s first quarter results: As ICICI Bank posted its seventh consecutive quarterly profit beat, analysts believe the lender’s stock could soon command a premium to HDFC Bank, while it may cut its valuation discount with Kotak Mahindra Bank. Nearly flawless core earnings in recent quarters, outperforming its peers, could lead to a “bright future for the bank in a bleak macroeconomic environment”, they said.
