The city’s new website had been up and running since Tuesday.

It is accessible at www.cityofwilliamsport.org.

The site was redesigned by Spyke Krepshaw, assistant professor of computer information technology at the Pennsylvania College of Technology, with input from the city and approved by the council.

Mayor Derek Slaughter announced the redesign of the city’s website and how it will roll out “live.”

“I ran on transparency, efficiency and accountability and the new website is another step in that direction”, he said.

“The website is smooth and will continue to be updated and improved”, he said.

The site provides links to serving members of various municipal departments including: Codes, Fire, Police, Community and Economic Development, Finance, Human Resources, Public Works, Recreation, River Valley Transit, Treasurer and Collector, and Williamsport Parking Authority.

Its home page features a photograph of the city hall at 245 W. Fourth St. The site has an upper bar with the city seal to the left and government and departmental links and a news and media center area. documents.

The site contains quick links, a right to know form (this is how the public can get certain information that has been withheld but the public may have a right to see) and lists that of the new Common Law on Americans with disabilities. Committee.

There are lists with photographs of the seven city council members, their political party affiliation and a section where people can send their council representatives a message called “Get in touch.”

On the left of the home page are links to the mayor’s office, council, clerk, and councils, commissions and authorities.

Additionally, the site contains helpful links such as places to pay property taxes, online tax certifications, and local service tax returns.

As the city is mandated to comply with the accessibility law, the site welcomes the disabled community and provides the general city phone number and hours of operation from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
